Update to 2020-2021 Application Cycle

KSU College of Veterinary Medicine will be holding Zoom interviews for qualified applicants on January 8-9, 2021 and January 15-16, 2021. In-person interviews will not be required during the 2020-2021 application cycle.

KSU College of Veterinary Medicine will be requiring the CASPer situational judgement assessment for the 2020-2021 application cycle. Applicants will have until December 10, 2020 to complete the assessment which generally takes 60-90 minutes to complete. CASPer should be considered a low stakes assessment for the 2020-2021 application cycle. Information about the assessment and registration can be found here: CASPer assessment

Why CASPer? The CASPer situational judgement assessment allows non-academic attributes and people skills to be evaluated. CASPer is made up of 12 sections which are video-based or word-based scenarios and three open-ended questions. CASPer progresses through the scenarios and will take 60-90 minutes to complete. Each section is scored by a different rater reflecting the diversity of the population. Raters are extensively trained, vetted and invested in the future of the profession. CASPer assesses for collaboration, communication, empathy, equity, ethics, motivation, problem solving, professionalism, resilience and self-awareness. All of these are important attributes in the veterinary profession.
