Students enrolled in the professional DVM program within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University have access to mentors, programs, and services that encourage an encompassing understanding of wellness – physical, mental, emotional, among many others – and the essential role that wellness plays in the life of a successful student of veterinary medicine.

Additionally, two full-time, licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are on faculty in the College of Veterinary Medicine and are available for all students, faculty, and staff. In additional to mental health services, our counselors deliver rounds, class presentations, and seminars in topics related to the psycho-social aspects of veterinary medicine.

K-State Vet Med students also have access to the 260,000 square foot Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex , which is located a short distance to the northwest of the Veterinary Medicine Center. Gyms, indoor running tracks, a rock climbing wall, outdoor equipment rental, and intramural sports are just a few of the options at this state-of-the-art facility.
