CVM Testing Center - 001 Trotter Hall

The CVM Testing Center provides a secure, comfortable and distraction-free environment for all KSU veterinary medicine students with a letter of accommodation from the Student Access Center (SAC).

Forms

All students taking exams in the Testing Center must have a letter of accommodation from the Student Access Center (SAC). Students will provide the SAC letter to the course coordinator/faculty and to Cathy Minihan (test coordinator) prior to the exam.

The CVM Testing Center Agreement Form must be submitted before an exam can be scheduled. If the form is submitted but an automated confirmation e-mail is not received, please contact Cathy Minihan at cminihan@vet.k-state.edu . If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, you are not approved to take the exam.

Exam Scheduling

Exams will be scheduled for you by Cathy Minhan in the CVM Testing Center. Exam time blocks are 7-11am and 12-4pm, Monday-Friday.

Students will be informed of their exam times after all instructor and student forms have been received and schedules are completed.

Identification

A current driver’s license or a veterinary medicine student ID is required at the time of testing in the CVM Testing Center.

Cellular phone policy

Cellular phones or any electronic devices must be turned off and placed in a secure locker. Students who must leave an emergency contact number (i.e. babysitters) can provide 532-4247 to their contact person.

Food and drink

Drinks are allowed, but no food is permitted in the CVM Testing Center.

Permitted and prohibited behavior

Testing students are required to read and understand the CVM Testing Center Agreement Form .

Personal property

All items except for materials permitted for the test will be placed in a secure locker. The Testing Center is not responsible for personal property left unattended.

Testing Center Environment

Since the Testing Center must adequately accommodate all testing students, you are reminded of the following:

Dress in layers: Testing room temperature may fluctuate depending on the number of students in the room and the season’s temperature.

Consider other test takers: Refrain from wearing strong perfumes and colognes.

Smokers, please consider not smoking before entering the Testing Center.

Distractions: To provide a distraction-free environment in the Testing Center, please refrain from tapping pencils and pens on the desks, chairs, partitions, shoes, and body. Do not read aloud, hum, or breathe loudly when frustrated or anxious. If you are ill from a cold, flu or allegies, and cough, sneeze or sniffle uncontrollably or excessively you will cause a distraction in the testing room. We recommend you contact the course coordinator about other testing accommodations.

Video/audio recording/surveillance

Students consent to the video and audio recording of their testing session and to the examination of the video and/or audio recording of the test session when they submit the CVM Testing Center Agreement Form .
